Diplomas of Designation

Starting in Sophomore year, you may enroll in one of our majors, called Diplomas of Designation. These programs allow you to pursue your interests and gain vital experience. Currently, we offer the following eight Diplomas of Designation:

Designed for Art Majors in our award-winning program to utilize the vast resources available in New York City
The goal of the American History and Government Diploma Designation is to engender in students a deep awareness and appreciation for the history of the United States and an understanding of the United States Constitution and the ways in which Constitutional issues impact our daily lives.  The hope is that students will use this knowledge to become active citizens and potential leaders in the American political process.
Allows students to attain proficiency in a second language, in addition to the required course of study in a Language Other Than English.
Open to TMLA students who are interested in developing their leadership skills in civic affairs and participating in community service.
Available to students who wish to pursue an intensive journey in Literature, Composition and Literary Arts.
Available to motivated students who are interested in pursuing careers in Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and other health professions.
Available to students interested in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, and Physical Therapy. Students gain hands-on training
Available to students who are interested in pursuing careers in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science.
