We offer a range of activities throughout the summer. Activities are open to girls in Grades 6 through 8, and TMLA's newest Freshwomen Class.

Athletics Clinics (for Girls entering Grades 6-9)
Our athletic clinics are run by TMLA's coaching staff with the help of student-athletes. Each participant will learn new techniques to help her excel in her sport(s) of choice, get a glimpse of what it's like to compete at the high school Varsity or JV levels, and experience the benefits of being on a team at The Mary Louis Academy.

**NEW** Game Design with Scratch (for Girls entering Grades 6-9)
This 5 day summer camp is a deep dive into programming and game design using MIT’s learning platform, Scratch. Students will learn the basics of programming as well as look at the concepts which make games fun and challenging. Each day, we will make a game exploring new programming or game design concepts. The platform, Scratch, allows students to quickly glide through the basics of using graphics and input and allows them to explore how fun and powerful programming can be!
Day 1 - Flappy Bird: Conditional Logic
Day 2 - Whack-a-Mole: Difficulty and progression
Day 3 - Asteroids: Perspective motion
Day 4 - Space Invaders: Object-Oriented Programming
Day 5 - Make your own game!

Forensics (for Girls entering Grades 6-9)
Critically evaluate and analyze the types of evidence found at a crime scene. Learn to use your love of science to solve mysteries at TMLA's Forensic Science session. This hands-on learning environment will give you exposure to many areas of forensic science.

TMLA Café (for Girls entering Grades 6-9)
This 3-day program is a hands-on culinary experience that allows each participant to create achievable (and delicious) recipes, learn cooking techniques, and have fun! On the last day, participants will take a trip to a local Italian restaurant to make authentic brick oven personal pizzas (details will be emailed at the beginning of July).
