Interfaith Prayer Service Begins Cultural Harmony Week

Cultural Harmony Week at TMLA is a cherished time when we come together to honor the rich tapestry of our community's diversity. Each year, we engage in festivities that delve into the vibrant traditions, delectable cuisines, enchanting music, and much more that reflect the backgrounds of our diverse student body, stemming from over 100 countries.

We began this week with a meaningful interfaith prayer service, uniting us in a collective wish for peace and harmony worldwide. This prayer service served as a poignant reminder of the beauty and strength found in our diverse community. Echoing Maya Angelou's words, "In diversity there is beauty and there is strength," we recognize that our greatest strengths lie in the mosaic of cultural and spiritual backgrounds that enrich our shared experience.

While The Mary Louis Academy has its roots in Catholicism, we embrace a congregation representing many different faiths, observed in various places of worship such as churches, temples, synagogues, and mosques. Despite the diversity of our beliefs and traditions, we stand united as one home, grounded in principles of Unity, Reconciliation, All-Inclusive love, and Concern for our Dear Neighbors.

Join us in celebrating this week as we explore, appreciate, and revel in the beautiful diversity that makes TMLA a truly unique and inclusive community!
