May Crowning

We ended the month of May by honoring our Blessed Mother with a May Crowning Prayer Service.

A May Crowning is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual held during the month of May. The Blessed Virgin is crowned with a garland or crown of flowers honoring her as "the Queen of May."

There is a special honor attached to being chosen to crown the statue. This year we honor our students, Sara, Melany, Jada, Noelle, Gianna, and Simone, who received the sacrament of Confirmation earlier this month and are now fully initiated into the church.

Thank you, Mr. Titone, for your reflection, and thank you, Dr. Woehling, for sharing your beautiful poem with us.
