Welcome to The Mary Louis Academy website! 

I am reminded daily how my all girls Catholic education made me the woman I am today. Therefore, I know the value of a Mary Louis education. The academic, athletic and artistic achievements of TMLA graduates is impressive. It is proof positive of the skilled ability of TMLA students to think critically, commit to perspective taking and excel scholastically. 

As a career educator, I know that good intentions are insufficient. Active listening, work, prayerful reflection and refinement are ingredients of quality outcomes. This means that as educators we greet each day committed to provide the best instruction, filled with faith and truth, to our students because we love teaching the whole student.

When surrounded by love and security students can think critically, question openly and argue adventurously. If a teacher can be a model of intelligence, virtue and service, her students will be inspired to study, leadership and action. My approach to what I do is shaped by the lessons of Jesus Christ. The Mary Louis Academy values of unity, reconciliation and all-inclusive love hinge on the Sisters of St. Joseph confidence that “all people may be united with God and with one another.”

The Mary Louis Academy is proudly sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph, who “continue to respond to the unmet and critical needs of our contemporary society and world.” At a time when excellent school options are limited, it is important that we commit to and invest in growth, which will allow for TMLA to thrive for generations to come.  In short, I too have faith in the future of young people, and know that with a Catholic education - especially a Mary Louis one - students can be systemic changemakers in faith, hope and love.
