Our Campus

Our Home On The Hill

Nestled on five acres of rolling hills in the heart of Jamaica Estates, Queens, NY, our campus offers an inspiring environment for students to thrive both academically and personally.

Our campus is comprised of three buildings accesible to our students:

The convent: the original convent in which TMLA students were taught prior to our main campus' construction in 1936. For decades, the convent housed TMLA educators who belonged to the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, NY. Today, we are the only Catholic school in Queens that features an original convent.

The main building: the heartbeat of our sprawling campus, where instruction and student life thrive. Built in 1936, our main building features well-preserved architectural details and vintage character. In the 1970s, an extension building known as "The Wing" was added to accommodate a growing student body.

Our Facilities

We are proud to provide our students with:

  • State-of-the-Art Science Labs to spark curiosity and innovation.
  • A Health Science Center where pre-med and sports medicine students gain valuable hands-on experience.
  • An Art Cottage for students to explore their creativity and express themselves through various mediums.
  • A Music Conservatory complete with a recording studio and rehearsal spaces for aspiring musicians.
  • A Gymnasium and Updated Weight Room to support our students and athletic teams in their fitness and wellness goals.
  • Campus Ministry Spaces and Two Chapels to encourage spiritual growth and foster a deeper connection to faith.
  • A Library modeled after the library at Yale Law School.

Our Home Away From Home: St. Joseph Villa, Hampton Bays

TMLA is honored to offer our students the unique opportunity to experience the beauty and tranquility of St. Joseph Villa, a century-old retreat owned by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, NY. Situated along the peaceful shores of Shinnecock Bay, this waterfront villa provides an idyllic setting for reflection, connection, and personal growth.

Thanks to the generosity of the Sisters, TMLA is privileged to utilize this sacred space throughout the year for a variety of enriching experiences, including alumnae and spiritual retreats and summer retreats for students participating in our Service Learning Leadership program.

St. Joseph Villa stands as a cherished extension of our community, offering a sanctuary where students can deepen their faith, build lasting friendships, and create meaningful memories.
