TMLA CALENDAR of ADVENT ACTIVITIES  

We are now celebrating the season of Advent. As a church, we use this time to come together to prepare ourselves for the birth of Jesus Christ and to ready our hearts and homes for all He will bring us. As a TMLA community, we encourage everyone to get involved and to enjoy this season of waiting and preparation.

LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT WREATH during morning prayer

FIND MARY AND JOSEPHTuesday, November 30th-Wednesday, December 22nd 

  •  Mary and Joseph will soon begin their journey to Bethlehem. Each day, starting November 30th, Mary and Josep h will be placed somewhere throughout the school campus. Spot them, bring them to Religion office for a prize.

CSJ TOY DRIVE

  • Toys will be collected for both boys and girls ages 5-12. Toys will be collected from Tuesday, November 30th – Tuesday, December 7th

ADVENT ADORATIONFriday, December 3rd   beginning at 7:35 in 2nd floor wing chapel. 

  • All welcome to come and pray and sit in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTINGMonday, December 6th   

  • Join us in the courtyard at 2:45pm to celebrate this special event. Hot Chocolate and cookies will be served after the tree lighting. 

CHRISTMAS KARAOKEMonday, December 6th 

  • Immediately after Christmas Tree lighting, Student Council will host Christmas Karaoke in the Cafeteria until 4pm.

CHRISTMAS PAJAMA DAYThursday, Dec. 9th 

  • Students, faculty, and staff are invited to dress in their favorite school appropriate Christmas Pajamas.

CHRISTMAS COOKIE DECORATING AND MOVIE NIGHT – Thursday, December 9th

  • Student Council and the Service Learning and Leadership (SLL) Homerooms will host Christmas Cookie Decorating and an Afternoon at the Movies. Movie Tickets are $10.00. All proceeds will benefit Well Wishes for Uganda as we continue to raise money to rebuild an all girls in Africa. 

LESSONS AND CAROLSMonday, December 13th – Friday, December 17th

  • Morning prayer readings followed by carols during announcements.   

CANDY-GRAM SALE Monday, Dec. 13th – Friday, Dec. 17th

  • All proceeds will go to the Long Island Walk to End Hydrocephalus.

UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY Wednesday, December 15th

  • Wear your best Ugly Christmas Sweater with uniform pants or skirt. Students, faculty, and staff can submit their picture and then vote for the best ugly sweater.
