Sports Update

Jordan Nixon, TMLA senior, was honored by McDonald’s for her selection to the 2018 McDonald’s All American team.  Jordan is the 2nd consecutive McDonald’s All American from the TMLA Basketball program. Jordan will be attending Notre Dame University next year.  The 2018 All American teams will play in the Philips Arena in Atlanta on March 28, 2018.
TMLA Track – At the B/Q – NYC CHSAA Championship Meet, Mary Louis finished 2nd in B/Q and 3rd in NYC out of 17 teams.  The team was awarded two Diocese team plaques.  TMLA is the home of the following champions: The 4x200m relay team of Nia Ogunsanya, Anaya Laurent, Jasmine Bain and Hadiyah Edwards are Brooklyn-Queens and NYC CHSAA Champions. The 4x800m relay team of  Catherine Lunny, Fiona Maloney, Zara McPartland, and Keeley Hayes are Brooklyn/Queens Champions. The 4x400m relay team of Jniyah Bellamy, Alyssa Ciniglio, Isabelle Henri and Emma Tzimorotas are Brooklyn/Queens Champions.  Freshman Sprint Medley Relay team of Jewel Jenkins, Olivia Fleury, Nicole Contreras, and Molly Klemmer were runners-up in Brooklyn/Queens.

TMLA Varsity Basketball – after opening up the BQ Conference season with a win over Bishop Loughlin now has  a season record of 10 wins and 0 losses; they celebrated their latest win over St. Francis Prep 62-59 in overtime.
JV Basketball won its BQ Conference opener, but lost its recent game to SFP  to bring its season record to 7 wins and 5 losses.
