TMLA Celebrates Cultural Harmony Week

TMLA Celebrates Cultural Harmony Week

Cultural Harmony Week at TMLA is a special time to celebrate the rich diversity that shapes our community. This annual event highlights the vibrant traditions, cuisines, music, and cultures represented by our student body, spanning over 100 countries.

On Tuesday, we began the day with our Interfaith Prayer Service, reminding us that peace is a shared goal across all beliefs. Whether Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Hindu, Orthodox, or of no faith, we all share the responsibility to pursue peace by choosing love. As the Sisters of St. Joseph teach us, we are called to “love the dear neighbor without distinction,” even those we find challenging. This spirit of all-inclusive love calls us to celebrate our differences while recognizing the deeper connections that unite us.

Though TMLA is rooted in Catholicism, we embrace and honor the diverse faiths and traditions of our community, creating one family guided by principles of Unity, Reconciliation, Love, and Concern for our Dear Neighbor.

As we continue this week, we explore and celebrate the incredible diversity that makes TMLA a truly inclusive and united community. Let us strive together for peace and love, remembering that what connects us is far greater than what divides us!
