Performing Groups

TMLA Drama Club, known as the GENESIANS in honor of St. Genesius, patron of actors, is an extracurricular activity that welcomes all students. Students star in two productions each year – a drama in the Fall and a musical in the Spring

The Drama Club provides students with experience in every aspect of theater: performance, production, costumes, make-up, lighting, ticket sales and program management. Attendance and continuity in performance are essential factors in earning credit. Students in 9th year taking the academic course Theater Arts must be members of Genesians.

The Speech Club affords students the opportunity to develop their rhetorical and interpretative skills by competing in such oratorical categories as Declamation, Original Oratory, Oral Interpretation, Dramatic Performance, Extemporaneous Speaking and Student Congress and Lincoln-Douglas Debating. Students may choose their areas of interest.
