National Honor Society Inducts New Members

TMLA’s National Honor Society added 90 new members from the Senior and Junior classes at their Induction Ceremony on Nov. 8, 2018. This new group will join 68 Seniors from last year’s membership. The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service.

Juniors and Seniors who achieve a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 are eligible for the Mary Louis Chapter of the National Honor Society.  Students who demonstrate high standards of honesty, reliability and show courtesy, concern, and respect for others fulfill the Character requirement. Service to school or community without compensation is also required.  Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others.  

NHS moderators Mrs. Jennifer Murillo and Ms. Sara Walden as well as NHS club officers President Emily Scarpati, Vice President Karolina Niepokoj, Secretary Anaya Laurent, Treasurer Danny-Elle Josama as well as Executive Board members Koreema Deen, Oluwaseum Koiki, and Jade Villanueva.  welcomed the newly inducted students.
