Pax Christi Food Drive
This year TMLA Pax Christi Food Drive again proved the generosity of students, faculty and staff of Mary Louis Academy who contributed over 1,300 cans and boxes of food as part of the annual Food Drive in November.
The donated food is going to Faith Mission Inc., a New York not-for-profit corporation in Mineola, NY. The TMLA chapter of Pax Christi has been working with Faith Mission for more than a decade. The current donations of food will aid them as they serve over 200 families on a weekly basis.

Besides a soup kitchen, Faith Mission also maintains a hospitality center that helps scores of people in need throughout Mineola.
This food drive is just one of the many activities of TMLA’s Pax Christi members. They have also coordinated donations to Hour Children in the past and expect to repeat this appeal again in the Spring. In January they will also coordinate a coat drive.
TMLA’s chapter of Pax Christi is appreciative of the support and participation shown by our school community in this food drive – an important initiative to help solve the problem of World Hunger one meal at a time.
