Description
The Mary Louis Academy was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph (Brentwood, NY) in 1936, during the The Great Depression. When the prevailing spirit was one of pessimism, building a school was a statement of belief in the future, and in the contributions of Catholic education to that future. We are a community that celebrates cultural diversity and continues the Catholic tradition of service while following the core values of the Sisters of St. Joseph - unity, reconciliation and all-inclusive love. In their honor, TMLA offers the CSJ Scholar Incentive Service Award.
The CSJ Scholar Incentive Service Award is a four-year scholarship awarded to several incoming students who exemplify this commitment to service in their parish and/or community.
Eligibility
- Students with exemplary track records in service to others - be it to their parish/church, through Girl Scouts, through school, or through other methods - are invited to apply.
- Recipients of the scholarship must maintain an average GPA in high school of no less than 85% to qualify to maintain their scholarship year over year.
Instructions
- Submit a general application to attend TMLA here by the annual deadline of 12/31.
- Once your general application has been submitted, complete this separate scholarship application and submit below.
- All admitted students will learn if they qualified for a scholarship on 1/15 along with their admissions decision.
Additional Instructions
- Scholarship applications will NOT be accepted or reviewed unless the student has already applied for the upcoming school year.
- Please DO NOT mail or e-mail any materials not explicitly requested through this form. Unsolicited materials sent anywhere outside of this form will be considered a failure to read instructions, and will disqualify the scholarship application.
- You will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of your completed application.
- A scholarship recipient must register as a member of the Class of 2029 at The Mary Louis Academy by close of business on Friday, February 7, 2025 or her scholarship will be forfeited.
