Alumnae Virtual Retreat

In April, TMLA Academy Advancement Director Sean Belon, together with Assistant Directors Liz McGlinchey Whalen ‘03 and Judy Belon, began planning for a free Virtual Retreat weekend to try to offer some space for reflection and spirituality for our alumnae.

The popular Alumnae Hamptons Spring Retreat was set to take place May 15-17, but due to the pandemic gathering together in person was not safe or prudent. The Academy Advancement team couldn’t let the weekend go by without marking it in some way.

CSJ Vocation Director Marie Mackey CSJ ‘80 and  Mrs. Christina Sama-Bommarito of TMLA Guidance Department were incredibly generous with their time and talents and were able to offer live virtual presentations and guided meditations throughout the weekend.

Many of the alumnae who regularly come to the retreats were in “attendance,” but we had many newcomers as well. We even had some international “guests!” All told, about 350 alumnae came away feeling refreshed and renewed despite the digital nature of the weekend.

Academy Advancement team and alumnae are looking forward to being together again in the Hamptons for our Fall Retreat from October 23-25. Registration will open on September 15.
