The Mary Louis Woman

The Mary Louis Academy graduate is grounded in faith and guided by a strong moral foundation. She understands that her education carries with it a responsibility to others and seeks to live the Gospel values of peace, justice, compassion, and service.
She recognizes the contributions women have made throughout history and understands her own capacity to contribute in meaningful ways. She approaches her choices with integrity, cares for the communities to which she belongs, and recognizes her responsibility to care for our common home.
A Mary Louis graduate leaves the Hill prepared to engage thoughtfully and confidently with a complex and changing world. She has developed the academic foundation, intellectual curiosity, resilience, and self-knowledge to continue learning, pursue her ambitions, and meet new challenges with confidence and conviction.
In the tradition of hospitality of the Sisters of St. Joseph, she respects the dignity of others and values perspectives and experiences beyond her own. She understands that leadership is not simply achievement, but the ability to use one's gifts in service to others and the common good.
