College Counseling
Your Dream, Our Personalized Guidance
TMLA offers comprehensive college planning services through a dedicated full-time College Counselor, who provides personalized guidance to every student.
The College Counselor leads seminars for juniors and seniors on essential college-related topics and arranges individual interviews to assist students in navigating their college choices. Parents are also welcome to schedule personal appointments to discuss their child’s college plans.
Our students benefit from a range of valuable opportunities, including:
- Financial Aid Meetings and Fall College Fairs: featuring over 75 college representatives who provide support to students and their families.
- On-Campus College Representative Visits: where students can meet with college representatives during junior and senior lunch periods to ask questions and explore options.
- The College Advantage Program: in partnership with St. John's University, which allows eligible students to earn fully accredited college credits while still attending TMLA.
Aspire Program
The Aspire Program is a distinctive college prep initiative at TMLA, unmatched in its comprehensive support and dedication to guiding juniors and seniors through every step of the college application and admissions process.
Through Aspire, all TMLA students are provided with:
- One cost free trip to visit prestigious colleges and universities along the East Coast.
- SAT/ACT Prep Courses and/or Boot Camps on campus and with a remote option, offered at little to no cost.
- Individual cost-free consultations for students and their families with financial advisors specializing in college financial planning and the financial aid process.
- Individualized college admissions counseling and assistance throughout the application and admissions process.
Aspire at TMLA is permanently endowed through the generosity of a TMLA alumna who attributes her personal and professional success to her time at the school. This program reflects her enduring commitment to empowering future generations of Mary Louis women to reach their boundless potential.
Aspire College Endowment
The Aspire College Endowment covers the costs over and above the recipient's full package of financial aid, and room and board at one of more than fifty approved, top-tier colleges and universities around the world.
For example, if the recipient's tuition costs $50,000 annually, room and board costs $12,000, and they receive $5,000 in aid from their Aspire-approved school, the Aspire Endowment will pay the $45,000 difference in tuition, plus the $12,000 room and board annually to ensure the recipient's tuition - as well as room and board - is 100% covered.
