Social Studies
The Social Studies Department contributes to the growth and education of TMLA students by teaching a course of study that will enable them to be well-informed, articulate, compassionate citizens guided by Christian principles now and in the future.
The Socials Studies Department follows the New York State Regents Standards by teaching the following curriculum:
Grades 9 and 10: Global History (A.P. World
History also offered)
Grade 11: U.S. History and Government (A.P. American History is also offered)
Grade 12: Government courses and Economics (College Law course is also
offered)
Grade 12: Electives for a fifth year sequence in Sociology, Psychology and A.P. European History.
